  • How is  Dr. Carol’s approach different from a conventional doctor?

Dr. Carol focuses on treating symptoms of midlife but also takes a broader, more proactive approach to your health. She usually spends sixty to ninety minutes at each visit to provide personalized and holistic care.​

Dr. Carol earned her Menopause Certification from the Menopause Society, the leading governing body in menopause care. She is trained in evidence-based menopause care to help you confidently manage the unique symptoms of this stage of midlife.

As a Midlife Health Strategist, she utilizes her experience in the health start-up world to optimize your health for longevity.​​

Dr. Carol is also a Health Navigator. Healthcare can be confusing; therefore, she guides you through your options, helps you prioritize what matters most, and provides clarity and confidence in your choices.

  • Does Parallel Med replace my gynecologist or primary care doctor?

No, Parallel Med complements but does not replace your primary care or gynecologist. You will need a primary care doctor and a gynecologist that you can see for annual physical exams, pelvic exams, mammograms, and other sick visits.

We can, at your request, work closely with your doctors.​

  • I’ve already had a lot of testing. Can you review my past medical records at my visit?

Yes. We use your previous tests, data, and medical records to understand your overall health and take the information to create a specific and personalized treatment plan designed for you.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Currently, we do not accept insurance.  While we don’t bill insurance directly, many of our patients receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. We are happy to give you the paperwork for a claim to make the process as smooth as possible. Please check with your insurance company, as coverage for this type of care can vary.   • Do you offer in-person services?

Yes. I am based in New York City and offer in-person visits. You are welcome to see me at my office, or if it’s more convenient, I can come to your home or workplace. This flexibility allows you to choose the setting where you feel most comfortable.

  • Do you offer telehealth services

Yes, we offer telehealth services.
